This post deals with the promises made by the DMK for the forth-coming elections in Tamil Nadu. The list runs something like this-Rice at Rs 2 per kilo, two acres of free land for all farmers, free colour TV sets for those without one, free power for all farmers and weavers, the list goes on. I think it is high time for Karunanidhi to retire from active politics. The problem is that there is no worthy successor to his ideology, Vaiko got cheated and he has moved towards Amma, Captain Vijaykant has floated his own party and is sure to get plenty of votes. As per suveys Jayalalitha is slowly but surely garnering support and is poised to win the elections. Only time will tell..
