Poem - 9 - Sunset in the Forest
It is twilight time,
The forest is abuzz,
With the sounds of birds and beasts,
Who are returning to their nests and dens,
After another day of survival in the forest.
The sun is setting,
The orange ball of fire,
Going down into the horizon,
There is a buzz,
As the insects of the forest start their nocturnal sojourn.
In the distance there is a perceptible hoot,
As an owl starts its evening,
Looking for mice or lizards.
The first stars, are there and the moon appears,
Like a beacon in the sky.
The sun has set and another day-
Comes to a close in the forest.
